Be Court Aware !
Follow these few simple rules to keep Pickelball safe and fun for everyone.
1) Extra balls are stored in the baskets at the end of each court for easy access. A
ball not in play should be placed in a basket.
2) Be courteous by not willy-nilly hitting or throwing an errant or stray ball back
into another court that is occupied.
3) Do not chase a ball into another occupied court.
4) Be courteous and only return a stray ball to a player that requests it. Otherwise,
put it in the basket.
5) If a ball from another court is in your court during play, stop your play and have
the server re-serve. It may be annoying but it’s the right thing to do.
Additional Court Courtesies
1) Be available to go onto the court when your paddle is in line for the next
available court. That speeds up play for everyone.
2) All players like to improve. The better, more experienced players should make
themselves available to play with or against the weaker, less experienced players.
Today’s novice may be tomorrow’s valued partner or challenging opponent. Pay it
forward.
3) Entries and exits to the courts during play should be made between points.
Announce that you are entering or exiting the court only after the point is over.

Spring is Here ( almost )
As
2013 goes speeding by, we welcome
the beautiful weather this time of year. January's frigid
temperatures didn't stop the Pickleball player's from coming out in droves to
play, however. The numbers continue to grow as more and more Siena residents
are experiencing the fun of Pickleball.
There is nothing more infectious than having fun with other people who are having fun. No experience is required except a willingness to learn something new and the belief that you can hit a yellow plastic ball back and forth over a net. We will teach you the game, and all skill levels are welcome !
We also invite those who like to hit the "fuzzy" yellow ball. If you are a racket sport enthusiast, you'll love Pickleball. Just ask the many tennis, racket-ball, and squash players who have joined our ranks.
Equipment is provided, and playing times are as follows:
Sunday Morning drop-in at 8:30 a.m,
Monday Morning Ladies' Day at 9:00 a.m.
Tuesday and Thursday evening drop-in starting at 6:00 p.m.
Saturday Morning drop-in at 11:00 a.m.
Times are subject to change as the weather changes.
